Had a customer call about a door or two that would not open and close well. What a fun project! It looks like their house settled over the years, and has since been piered. However, the doorways on one side had settled and were no longer square. Pretty interesting job, once I sorted what had happened. The fix was removing all the trim, removing securing nails that were used to set the doors into the walls, make the doorways square, and then shim and nail them back into the walls. All in all, 6 doors were badly out of kilter, and now swing nice and freely! This project took about 8 hours.
